Kevin Christopher Snipes is the head writer for Valerie the
Roboceptionist, the world’s first storytelling robot
secretary, created in collaboration with the Robotics Institute
of Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Snipes’ play A
Bitter Taste was produced by Youngblood in Thicker Than Water
2006 on the EST mainstage, and was a finalist for the Princess Grace
Playwriting Fellowship and the Playwrights’ Center Fellowship.
His one-act plays include Brightly Packaged Things (Ensemble
Studio Theatre), Virgin Rock (Part 1) (Pittsburgh New Works
Festival) and The Procreation of Amoebas and the Meaning of
Life (Hippodrome State Theatre, Fl). In 2003 Mr. Snipes
earned a Sloan Foundation Screenwriting Fellowship for his dark
musical comedy Frankenfish. Mr. Snipes holds a MFA in Dramatic
Writing from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.
He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
