Michael Sendrow

 

 

 

 

After founding Shunpike, a Seattle-based non-profit dedicated to partnering with artists to more effectively present and distribute their work, Michael Sendrow relocated to New York City. His plays A DYING ART, THE WINDHORSE, THE FOG MACHINE, and WELL OF LIFE received productions in a variety of Seattle theaters. In New York, he has had readings of his most recent scripts -- EUNUCHS (Youngblood's Blood Works Series), A LOVE PRESERVED (Columbia University), and WILD TURKEY (Nola Studios) -- as well as numerous Youngblood productions of his short plays. Aside from his work in theatre, Sendrow is a musician and producer, having composed music for Edith Freni's THIS US and Emily Conbere's SINCERELY, RAVEN HARTE and producing records for The Bridge And Tunnel Club as well as his own musical projects. Sendrow is also a contributing writer to The Blue Cleaver, a food website. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in English and Theatre Arts, is a member of the Dramatists Guild, and serves as assistant to Israel Horovitz's New York Playwrights Lab.
